Enterprise Network Architect

Provide strategically focused direction, technical leadership, and architectural oversight for all network-related initiatives, including LAN/WAN, cloud networking, network security, and emerging technologies. Responsibilities: Directly accountable for designing and governing the enterprise and utility-specific network architecture to ensure alignment with business goals, technology strategies, and security requirements.

Kforce has a client that is seeking an Enterprise Network Architect onsite in Tampa, FL. Responsibilities:

• Directly accountable for designing and governing the enterprise and utility-specific network architecture to ensure alignment with business goals, technology strategies, and security requirements
• Provide strategically focused direction, technical leadership, and architectural oversight for all network-related initiatives, including LAN/WAN, cloud networking, network security, and emerging technologies
• Ensure all network security controls are implemented and managed in accordance with appropriate security principles, industry best practices, and applicable industry standards, including NERC CIP regulatory compliance standards
• Partner and collaborate with infrastructure, operational, and other teams to effectuate scalable, secure, and resilient network architectures that support business and operational objectives and requirements
• May serve as a project manager on network infrastructure projects and cross-train peers and other department team members, supporting knowledge sharing and development
• Design, implement, and govern secure, scalable, and highly available network architectures across on-premises, cloud, hybrid, IT, and OT environments
• Develop enterprise network roadmaps, standards, security frameworks, and lifecycle strategies
• Lead network security initiatives, including segmentation, firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and compliance requirements
• Direct architecture projects, proof-of-concepts, and technology evaluations while partnering with business, engineering, operations, and vendors
• Establish governance, testing standards, risk management processes, monitoring strategies, and cybersecurity controls
• Maintain network documentation, architecture standards, and configuration governance
• Identify opportunities for modernization, optimization, and emerging technology adoption

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Network Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field
• 15+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, including 10+ years in network architecture/design and 3+ years supporting both IT and Operational Technology (OT) environments
• Required certifications: CCIE, CISSP, AWS Advanced Networking Specialty, CISM, or equivalent
• Experience with IT/OT networking, SDN, network virtualization, architecture roadmaps, lifecycle management, and network design tools
• Knowledge of TOGAF, Zero Trust, and defense-in-depth methodologies preferred
• Enterprise network architecture across LAN, WAN, MPLS, SD-WAN, cloud, wireless, cellular, and data center environments
• Advanced knowledge of routing, switching, VLANs, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, firewalls, VPNs, segmentation, IPv4/IPv6, and network security
• Strong documentation skills, including network diagrams, standards, and architecture artifacts
