Job Description
Data is the foundation for nearly every decision the City of Raleigh makes, from where we invest to how we serve more than 500,000 residents. We're looking for an Enterprise Data Manager to lead how the City governs, manages, and uses that data, and to build the trusted foundation our analytics and emerging AI will rely on. If you want your work to shape an entire organization's decisions, this is that role.
About You:
You are a strategic and operational leader ready to guide how the City of Raleigh governs, manages, and uses data across departments. As an experienced data professional, you will lead the execution of our enterprise data roadmap, a modern data platform built on Snowflake, and our enterprise data catalog, while overseeing the work of our Data Analyst and Senior Data Analyst.
You thrive in a hands-on, working manager role that balances leadership, program planning, and technical depth. You excel at setting data governance policy and quality standards, growing business intelligence and self-service analytics, and cultivating a data-driven culture. Additionally, you enjoy engaging directly with departments, vendors, and technical teams to deliver solutions that are trustworthy, secure, and sustainable.
About Us:
Raleigh, North Carolina's capital city, continues to be nationally recognized for its quality of life, economic strength, and forward-thinking approach to technology.
