Position SummaryThe Enterprise Architecture (EA) Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the Enterprise Architecture function. This role partners with Enterprise Architects, Solution Architects, Risk, Security, Compliance, Technology, and Business stakeholders to improve governance processes, streamline architecture review workflows, enhance stakeholder experience, define operating models, and implement measurable process improvements.
The EA Project Manager ensures architecture governance processes are efficient, scalable, transparent, and aligned with enterprise objectives while providing oversight for modernization initiatives, tooling enhancements, metrics, communications, and stakeholder engagement.
Key ResponsibilitiesEA Process Improvement & Governance- Lead enterprise architecture process modernization initiatives.
- Analyze current-state workflows, identify pain points, bottlenecks, and inefficiencies.
- Design and implement process improvements across architecture intake, review, approval, onboarding, and retirement workflows.
- Facilitate working groups and governance forums to define future-state operating models.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, procedures, RACI models, standards, and governance frameworks.
- Coordinate continuous improvement initiatives and track benefit realization.
Project & Program Management- Develop project plans, timelines, milestones, dependencies, and resource requirements.
- Manage deliverables, risks, issues, decisions, and action items.
- Coordinate cross-functional initiatives involving Architecture, Security, Risk, Compliance, Procurement, Legal, and Technology teams.
- Prepare status reporting and executive updates for leadership and governance committees.
- Drive accountability for project objectives and target dates.
Architecture Review Board (EARB) Operations- Coordinate architecture review and governance activities.
- Manage review schedules, agendas, meeting logistics, and stakeholder communications.
- Track approvals, follow-up actions, conditions, and closure activities.
- Monitor workflow status and resolve process or routing issues.
- Maintain governance artifacts, meeting records, and decision documentation.
Metrics, Reporting & Continuous Improvement- Establish and monitor KPIs for architecture review effectiveness.
- Track cycle times, throughput, approval timelines, backlog trends, and process health metrics.
- Develop dashboards and reporting for leadership visibility.
- Use data-driven insights to prioritize improvement opportunities.
- Measure adoption and outcomes of implemented process changes.
Stakeholder Management & Communication- Serve as primary coordinator across business and technology stakeholders.
- Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and process reviews.
- Communicate governance expectations, process changes, and operating procedures.
- Support onboarding and education of participants, submitters, and reviewers.
- Build alignment across multiple governance bodies and review functions.
Tooling & Operational Enablement- Support evaluation and implementation of EA governance and workflow tools.
- Partner with technology teams to improve automation, intake workflows, reporting, and orchestration capabilities.
- Gather requirements, coordinate testing, and support rollout activities.
- Track adoption and effectiveness of tooling enhancements.
QualificationsRequired- 5+ years of project, program, or process management experience.
- Experience leading cross-functional process improvement initiatives.
- Strong facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with governance, workflow management, and operational processes.
- Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Strong analytical and reporting capabilities.
Preferred- Experience supporting Enterprise Architecture, Technology Governance, Risk, Compliance, or PMO functions.
- Knowledge of Agile, Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience with Jira, Service Management, workflow automation, or governance platforms.
- Experience developing executive-level presentations, dashboards, and metrics.
