Position Overview

As member of the Enterprise Architecture team, you will be responsible for Infrastructure Architecture. You will ensure optimal governance structure and comply with activities related to infrastructure architecture adherence, promote organization architecture process and results to organization inclusive of business leaders and enterprise's IT. Work in an environment that has significant opportunity to leverage new technology and cloud strategies to shape the future capabilities of the organization. You will work with business and technology leaders across the organization to gain acceptance and compliance to our standards and procedures.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Collaborate with solution architecture and product development teams to design and implement the infrastructure required to support their vision and strategy
  • Develop reference architectures, publish design patterns, drive technical designs to consensus and approval
  • Evaluate new and emerging technologies, services, tools, and multiple cloud vendors for innovative new capabilities to guide business and technology decisions
  • Build a Architecture practice to deliver value based services to guild a technology organization through a transformational objective
  • Demonstrate the ability convert a high-level strategy into a tactical plan and execute that plan
  • Author and enforce architectural standards and procedures to govern the adoption and usage of technology and make decisions on adjustments as needed

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • At least 15 years of IT architecture experience
  • At least 2 years of lead experience

OR

  • Master's degree
  • At least 12 years of IT architecture experience
  • At least 2 years of lead experience

OR

  • At least 17 years of IT architecture experience
  • At least 2 years of lead experience

Additional Requirements

  • Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Navistar does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)

Desired Skills

  • At least 8 years' experience in Technology positions is required, with 3-5 years' experience in an architecture role
  • Extensive understanding regarding concepts of setting and driving architecture direction
  • Experience in large/complex and agile environments
  • Experience with large scale migrations, specifically Data Center to Data Center and/or Data Center to Cloud
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges
  • You are an experienced architect designing and supporting enterprise level infrastructure
  • Experience with automation and Orchestration of infrastructure operational processes (Ansible, BMC, VMware, Red Hat, Chef, Puppet, etc.).
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
