    Description

    • As a Business Objects Specialist you must have a strong background in SAP Business Objects 4.1 internals, configuration, processes, procedures and technology.
    • You must have had responsibility for modeling, configuration, implementation, and end to end testing of Business Object implementation for a large group or organization. 
    • You must have in-depth knowledge about networking and firewall configuration with respect to Business Object webserver and app servers.
    • You must have knowledge and experience with both DW and BI security architecture, especially involving disparate platforms such as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software and Active Directory (AD). 
    • You must have experience developing processes and procedures in support of a large enterprise BI/DW environment.
    • You must be able to follow software development processes, prepare detailed documentation and generate work estimates in an SDLC environment. 
    • You must be quality conscious and be dedicated to delivering quality products on time and on budget.
    Onsite Requirements: Worker will be required to work on site with the team.  Working remotely will be limited and must be pre-approved by the Direct Supervisor.
     
    • Must be able to work with Business Customers, Section Managers, Project Managers, Business Analysts and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in a professional and collaborative manner to define strategies and implementation approaches.  
    • Must be able to work with the Data Warehouse/Business Intelligence and Data Administration Teams in a professional and collaborative manner to ensure that data models comply with organizational standards.
    • Must prepare all required artifacts accurately and in a timely fashion.
    • Must possess strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
    • Must be able to develop processes and procedures for BI/DW infrastructure.
    • Must be able to work independently in a team environment with local and remote teams
    • Must possess knowledge of project management methodologies both traditional and Agile/Scrum
    • Must possess problem-solving skills and ability to multi-task with readiness to put in extra efforts when necessary
    • Must perform related work as assigned


    Must be a certified SAP Gold Partner
     
    Minimum Requirements:
    7 Years’ Experience
    • Extensive hands-on experience migrating SAP Business Objects implementations.
    • Expertise in Sizing the BI Landscape with commanding knowledge on Web Servers (Tomcat/WebSphere/Apache).
    • Extensive knowledge of/experience with data integration, data quality, multi-dimensional design and ETL tools, processes and methodology
     
    4 Years’ Experience
    • Experience with installation and configuration of Service Packs and Fix Pack's Plus configuring SSO with SSL
    • Extensive experience with highly complex BI security requirements, Load Testing, and Load Balancing.
     
    1 Year Experience
    • Hands-on experience in migrating SAP Business Objects XI 4.1 from prior releases.
            
    Preferences:
    3 Years’                Experience
    • Proficient with the Microsoft Windows and Office products
    • Public sector experience (Federal, State or Local Government)
     
    2 Years
    • Experience working with IT and business customers
    • Experience with Business Objects LCM.
    • Experience working with F5 Load balancer.
    • Experience with BO server configuration, performance tuning.
