The Presidio Trust is seeking a Enterprise Applications Engineer to join its IT Department. The Presidio Trust is a unique federal agency that stewards and shares the Presidio, one of the most visited national park sites in America and a place where people live and businesses thrive. The Trust manages the Presidio through a triple bottom line focus: being visited and loved by all, being a model of environmental stewardship, and demonstrating excellence in all our operations.

The Enterprise Applications Engineer is a key member of the Data Applications team, responsible for the administration, implementation, integration, lifecycle management, and operational support of a portfolio of more than 160 enterprise and departmental systems that support critical business functions, including procurement, facilities management, analytics, automation, GIS, cloud services, and emerging AI-enabled technologies.

Reporting to the Principal Data Architect, this role serves as the technical lead for assigned applications and integrations, partnering with business stakeholders, vendors, project teams, and IT to deliver secure, scalable technology solutions. This role drives application modernization, system integrations, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives; resolves complex technical issues; and ensures solutions align with business objectives, security, compliance, and data governance standards while enhancing operational efficiency and user experience.

This is a full-time position with benefits. The starting salary range for candidates based in San Francisco Bay Area is $135,090 to $160,319, depending on experience and qualifications. Salary may vary for candidates working from other locations. Applications received by July 17, 2026 will receive first consideration.

Responsibilities

  • Administer, configure, maintain and support a portfolio of enterprise and departmental applications, serving as the primary technical resource for application health, availability, and performance, operational integrity and lifecycle management activities, including implementation, upgrades, patching, and decommissioning.

Responsibilities include system configuration, testing, integration development, data migration, deployment planning, validation, cutover activities, and post-implementation support.

  • Design, implement, and maintain automated workflows and business process automations across enterprise applications to improve operational efficiency, reduce manual effort, and enhance data quality across enterprise systems.
  • Evaluate, implement and support AI-enabled features, integrations and automation capabilities within enterprise applications in alignment with organizational technology objectives.
  • Perform back-end technical support for enterprise applications, including system configuration changes, data corrections, environment management, performance monitoring, user access administration, and resolution of complex application and integration issues across the full application portfolio.

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and functional leads to gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into technical solutions, system configurations, integrations, workflows and application enhancements.
  • Support enterprise application-related projects through technical planning, requirement analysis, vendor coordination, testing strategy development, user acceptance testing (UAT) facilitation, deployment activities, and project closeout documentation.
  • Actively contribute to and support enterprise data governance initiatives, including data standards development, data quality monitoring, metadata management, data mapping, and data lineage documentation and adherence to established data standards.
