The Salesforce Platform Administrator II provides advanced system administration and platform support for agencies and departments across the State of Tennessee Strategic Technology Solutions (STS). This role supports user setup, security, ongoing administrative needs, and small to medium-sized enhancements across 11 statewide Salesforce orgs utilizing Public Sector Solutions, Experience Cloud, Service Cloud, and Sales Cloud. The position ensures all platform configuration activities align with STS governance, security requirements, and audit standards while working closely with agency stakeholders, vendor partners, and internal org owners. Job Specifications:
Provide daily Salesforce administrative support, including user provisioning, profile and permission set management, and security configurations.
Design and implement small to medium-sized enhancements such as page layouts, Flows, process automation changes, and minor data model adjustments.
Maintain data hygiene and quality through duplicate prevention, validation rules, and cleanup activities.
Manage and maintain Salesforce functionality across 11 statewide orgs leveraging Public Sector Solutions, Experience Cloud, Service Cloud, and Sales Cloud.
Troubleshoot end-user issues, resolving administrative tickets and escalating complex concerns as appropriate.
Collaborate with agency partners to gather business requirements and translate them into actionable Salesforce configuration tasks.
Support release management activities, including sandbox preparation, testing coordination, and deployment support.
Create, update, and maintain custom reports and dashboards based on agency reporting needs.
Work with vendor teams and internal Salesforce teams to maintain architectural consistency across orgs.
Ensure full compliance with STS security guidelines, governance protocols, documentation, and audit standards.
Qualifications and Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of professional-level experience in Salesforce administration.
Strong understanding of core Salesforce administration, including user management, security models, object configuration, Flows, and automation tools.
Familiarity with Public Sector Solutions, Experience Cloud, Service Cloud, and Sales Cloud.
Proven ability to manage competing priorities across a multi-org Salesforce landscape.
Solid understanding of Agile methodologies, iterative delivery approaches, and data management principles.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and written/verbal communication skills.
Preferred: Experience working in public sector environments or multi-org Salesforce landscapes.
Requirement: Salesforce Certified Administrator and Salesforce Certified Advanced Administrator certifications are required (or must be obtained within the established timeframe).
Requirement: Candidate must be local to Tennessee.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
