Illinois College is growing its online undergraduate programs fast - and we're looking for a recruiter who's ready to grow with it. If you're early in your career and looking for a role that builds real sales, marketing, and relationship-building skills inside a mission-driven environment, this is a great place to start.

You'll work with a pipeline of prospective students to help them figure out if Illinois College is the right next step, with opportunities for building relationships by phone, email and text. We're looking for someone organized and curious who enjoys clear goals and the satisfaction of hitting them. You'll also get a chance to work with individuals all over the globe, helping bring ambitious students from around the world to our Jacksonville, Illinois campus.

  • Meet enrollment and goals to help the College realize online enrollment growth while helping people make life-changing decisions about their education.

  • Manage relationships with strong communication skills and follow through.

  • Meet weekly goals for counselor-initiated contacts and other key recruitment activities.

  • Review applications for admission and scholarships using sound, program-appropriate judgment.

  • Respond to in-person, phone, and electronic admissions inquiries in a timely manner and at times that are appropriate for different time zones (domestic and international).

  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of prospective student communications and activity in the CRM.

  • Collaborate with Financial Aid, Academic Affairs, and other campus partners to remove barriers and support students from inquiry to enrollment.

  • Support a smaller portfolio of international undergraduate recruitment, helping prospective students navigate admission and, where applicable, visa-related requirements.

  • Represent Illinois College at occasional recruiting events, fairs, and info sessions, including some evening, weekend, and travel commitments during peak season.

What You'll Bring

  • A bachelor's degree
  • Prior sales, customer service, or admissions experience, preferred
  • Genuine interest in people; asking good questions and listening to the answers
  • Comfort picking up the phone and having conversations, even with people you've never met
  • A goal-oriented mindset; knowing what you're working toward and tracking your progress
  • Exposure to CRM/database tools like Slate, preferred
  • Sharp writing and communication skills
  • Comfort working independently while staying connected to a team
  • Flexibility to work some evenings/weekends during peak season, and travel occasionally (including internationally)
