Immediate need for a talented Engr 2, Mechanical. This is a 06 months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Durham, NC (Onsite). Design sheet metal, plastic, and machined parts and assemblies for use in automation equipment. Analyze and test the design of parts and assemblies to ensure that they meet design specifications, cost goals, and manufacturability requirements. Contribute to a multidisciplinary research and development team to conceptualize innovative new systems related to pharmaceutical automation. Work closely with in-house engineers and technicians, plus outside vendors, to develop cost-effective mechanical prototypes that also support electrical and software subsystems. Document part and system designs for sourcing, inspection, and internal use.Key Requirements and Technology Experience: Key skills; CAD/Solidworls, Mechanical/mechanical design, pharma/medical device, automation industry, injection molding/ plastic Robotics and automation experience Industry backgrounds in Med device, Pharma, Auto , Automation Industry Minitab Developing root cause analysis techniques. Familiar with standards and regulations (ISO, FDA, OSHA, ASTM). Can operate and troubleshoot mechanical test equipment in the lab. Developing in the operation of environmental conditioning chambers, equipment calibration and maintenance.
