Engineering Test Technician

Newton, MA | $24-$27/hr | Contract

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Associate degree in a technical field preferred
• 2+ years of related assembly, test, or technician experience preferred
• Strong mechanical aptitude and experience using hand tools
• Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings and work instructions
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Basic Microsoft Office proficiency

Responsibilities

• Perform electromechanical assembly and testing activities
• Read and interpret assembly drawings, documentation, and work instructions
• Troubleshoot assembly and production-related issues
• Maintain compliance with documented procedures and quality requirements
• Support receiving, packaging, and other operational activities as needed
• Accurately document work completed and test results

Work Environment

• Approximately 70-75% hands-on electromechanical assembly work
• Fast-paced engineering and manufacturing environment
• Opportunity to support medical device and robotics technology
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-5:00 PM (8:00 AM-4:30 PM may be available)

Experience within medical device, aerospace, defense, electronics, or other regulated manufacturing environments is highly preferred.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Newton, MA.

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $27.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
