    Description

    We are seeking a skilled Engineering Technician to join our team. An Engineering Technician plays a crucial role in supporting our engineering department by providing electronic and instrumentation support in production environment at all Alliance One North America facilities. This is a hands-on position that requires strong technical skills and attention to detail.

    • Provide real-time troubleshooting for production line issues, including repairs to process equipment and test systems.

    • Perform preventative maintenance, calibrations, and installations of mechanical, electrical, or pneumatic machinery.

    • Create and update technical documents such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), assembly instructions, and maintenance logs.

    • Assist with and/or assume responsibility for the installation and maintenance and calibration in the following: Instrumentation (Flow Meters, Pressure and Temperature Sensors) Electronic Devices (Moisture Meters), Electronic Systems (Foreign Matter Removal Equipment), Weigh Belts and Load cells, PLC and HMI systems.

    • Related Computer hardware, software and networking.

    • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.

    • Identify and implement "Lean" or "Six Sigma" initiatives to reduce waste, lower costs, and improve manufacturing yields.

    • Associate degree preferred or technical school or higher.

    • High School diploma required with further education.

    • 2-3 years' electronic or electrical experience.

    • 2-3 years' experience in a production environment

    • Good written and verbal communication skills.

    • Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills.

    • Good overall mechanical and electrical skills.

    • Experience in the following: Electrical and Electronic equipment, Allen-Bradley PLC' s, Rockwell Software RS Logix PLC, Programming Language, PLC Communications and Rockwell Software RS View SE HMI Software.

    • This position often requires physical stamina for standing, bending, or lifting up to 50 lbs., and involve shift work or overtime.

    • This is a full-time position in a dusty production facility working in second shift, and an office will be provided as well.
