Astrion has an exciting opportunity for an Engineering Technician V for the RTC Test and Engineering Services (RTES) Contract supporting the Army Division.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
- 9 years of applicable experience supporting engineering, design, or testing of hardware in the appropriate area of specialization; or 4 years of applicable college/vocational/military/technical school and 5 years of applicable experience in the assigned specialty area; and the following additional requirements:
Instrumentation - Experience must include successful completion of sixteen (16) weeks of civilian or military training in electronics or basic instrumentation techniques and a minimum of 6 years of experience in electronics/instrumentation supporting engineering or testing of military hardware.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Government security clearance. (Must be a U.S. Citizen.)
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
- Must be flexible in adapting to deadlines, changing schedules, competing priorities, and unpredictable events.
- Thorough, detail oriented, and organized, with excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects at once.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and engineering instructions.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Construct and test cables and wiring harnesses from drawings.
- Use drawings, general and special test equipment to test cables, wiring harnesses, populated printed circuit boards, receivers, and transmitters.
- Use drawings, general and special tools and test equipment to assemble, test, and troubleshoot TM/FTS kits.
- Integrate TM/FTS kits into missiles prior to test missions.
- Integrate network enabled test equipment.
- Troubleshoot complex issues related to test setup, board manufacturing defects.
