Job Summary:

Supermicro is seeking an Engineering Technician to join the Motherboard Application Validation Team. This position is based in our headquarters located in San Jose, CA.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):

  • Help to prepare and assembly the system under test
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures and instruction to proceed SI testing
  • Proactive and professionally manage the lab environment in accordance with company guidelines
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and projects
  • Follow up the bug tracking system to communicate with designer and verify the failure issue

Qualifications:

  • H.S. graduate or GED equivalent, some college is preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of relative working experience in electronic computer industry a must
  • Computer or server installation experience a plus
  • Familiarity with mechanical assembly, cable routing and quality standards a plus
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, including written and verbal
  • Strong initiative and ability to work in a self-directed environment
  • Demonstrate understanding or how to successfully work in cross-functional organizations
  • Demonstrate strong organizational and planning skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, strong communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation skills), and ability to negotiate effectively
  • Excellent knowledge of server systems, PC systems, and computer architecture

Salary Range

$26.00 - $28.00 / hour

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
