Job Title: Engineering TechnicianJob Description

The Engineering Technician supports a research and development engineering team focused on next-generation medical device development. In this role, you execute electrochemical experiments, perform incoming material inspections, support electrochemistry builds and testing, and provide hands-on laboratory support within a highly collaborative product development environment. You collect, analyze, and document experimental data and communicate results clearly to engineers, directly contributing to the advancement of innovative medical technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Execute electrochemical experiments according to established protocols and procedures.
  • Collect, record, and organize experimental data with strong attention to detail.
  • Document test methods, observations, and results in a clear, accurate, and timely manner.
  • Perform incoming material inspections to verify quality and conformance to specifications.
  • Support electrochemistry builds and testing activities in a laboratory setting.
  • Operate laboratory equipment and test instruments safely and effectively.
  • Follow standard operating procedures and laboratory protocols independently.
  • Assist engineers by preparing samples, setting up test fixtures, and maintaining test setups.
  • Communicate test results, observations, and issues to the engineering team in a concise and professional manner.
  • Collaborate closely with a small team of engineers in an R&D-focused environment.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory workspace.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and documentation practices.

Essential Skills

  • Hands-on experience supporting laboratory or engineering testing activities.
  • Experience executing experiments, collecting data, and documenting results.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols independently.
  • Experience with laboratory equipment and testing procedures.
  • Ability to learn new experiments, tools, and processes quickly.
  • Strong documentation skills for recording test methods, data, and outcomes.
  • Team-oriented mindset with strong communication abilities in a collaborative environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Exposure to electrochemical testing, with experience in this area strongly preferred.
  • Experience in a medical device product development or R&D environment preferred.
  • Experience with inspection tools or optical measurement systems is a plus.
  • Exposure to Keyence or similar optical measurement equipment is a plus.
  • Interest in continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) or related medical technologies.
  • Motivation to support next-generation medical device technology and product development.

Work Environment

This role is based in an onsite laboratory and engineering environment within a highly collaborative R&D-focused group. You will work closely with a team of four engineers in a hands-on setting that emphasizes experimentation, testing, and product development. The schedule follows a Monday-Friday workweek, with core hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM and a flexible start time within one hour of the core start. The position is structured as a 6-month contract with the possibility of extension or conversion based on business needs. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $29.00 - $29.00/hr.
