Engineering Technician - Plant 10

Basic Qualifications:

• Associate degree in manufacturing industrial or mechanical technology from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of two years of work history or six months of continuous experience working in manufacturing environment.
• Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Preferred Qualifications

• Good oral and written communication skills.

• PC literate in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.

• Familiarity with Access, Microsoft Office and Mini-Tab.

• Experience working in a layout environment and/or working with CAD / Unigraphics and blueprints.

This Engineering Technician position will be located in our Plant 10, Whitehall Casting Operation. Primary responsibilities will include:

• Assist engineers in report preparation, process approval packages, dimensional reports, deviated material reports, lab sample collection/submittal, etc. Technician will support both Plant 10 and Plant 3 engineering.
• Monitors process outputs to identify areas for improvements and cost reduction and implements actions to achieve targets and goals.
• Reviews nonconforming materials for cause and corrective action and MRB submittal.
• Daily on the floor support in shipping department to update ship hold data base, as well as release product as directed by engineering.
• Complies with all EHS rules required for the work environment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
