Akkodis is seeking an Engineering Technician for a Contract job with a client in Palm Bay, FL. The ideal candidate will have experience in aerospace assembly, hardware integration, manufacturing operations, and precision mechanical assembly, along with the ability to support the build, testing, and integration of complex spaceflight hardware.

Rate Range: $30/hour to $34/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Engineering Technician Job Responsibilities Include:

• Support the manufacturing, assembly, integration, and testing of space structures, deployable mesh reflectors, and spacecraft hardware while ensuring compliance with established engineering processes and quality requirements.

• Perform mechanical assembly, system-level integration, precision measurements, and hardware verification activities utilizing engineering drawings, work instructions, schematics, and manufacturing documentation.

• Prepare for and execute system-level testing activities, including deployment testing, vibration testing, alignment verification, and hardware validation procedures.

• Utilize precision measurement tools such as calipers, tape measures, inclinometers, micrometers, and related equipment to verify component dimensions and assembly tolerances.

• Support spacecraft integration activities in manufacturing and field environments, including precision alignment tasks and hardware installation activities performed at elevated work locations.

Desired Qualifications:

• High School Diploma, technical certification, military technical training, or equivalent experience in manufacturing, aerospace, mechanical assembly, or engineering support disciplines.

• A minimum of four years of experience supporting manufacturing, assembly, testing, aerospace production, or related technical operations.

• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, assembly instructions, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.

• Experience performing precision mechanical assembly, hardware integration, testing, measurement verification, and troubleshooting activities within a production or engineering environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience manufacturing, assembling, testing, or integrating space-qualified hardware, aerospace systems, or high-reliability products.

• Active TS/SCI Clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance required to support classified programs.

• Experience with high-reliability manufacturing practices, bonding procedures, aerial platform operations, and certification-based assembly standards.

• Familiarity with adhesives, RTV materials, precision alignment processes, sewing operations, and specialized aerospace manufacturing techniques.

• Demonstrated ability to support physically demanding manufacturing activities, including elevated work, extended overhead tasks, ladder use, and handling of delicate flight hardware.

Pay Details: $30.00 to $34.00 per hour
