Description

Job Title: Engineering Technician
Location: North Reading, MA (100% onsite)
Duration: 12-Months Contract
Payrate: $30 to $40 per hour on W2

Job Description:

The Hardware Verification Team within the Integrated Systems Test Group is responsible for verifying the system components meet design specifications prior to customer shipment. Our products include the HDD, SSD and SLT test platforms. We are looking for a motivated, energetic, and eager to learn engineering technician to join us in a fast paced, dynamic, and rewarding environment!

Responsibilities:
  • Provide support to the hardware verification engineers who develop test processes for legacy and new products including test fixture and test tool design, test software development, test documentation, and training
  • Data collection and defect investigation
  • Collaborate with the hardware verification engineers to solve production test issues
  • Executing test processes on prototype and pre-production electro-mechanical assemblies
  • Support engineering activities including parts procurement, research, and coordinating shipments to global subcontract suppliers and repair/support teams
  • Collaboration with a global workforce which may include travel to production sites as required to support the test processes

Desired Qualifications and Skills:
  • Strong computer skills that include familiarity with Client Office, Outlook, and Teams
  • Some experience testing PCBAs and electronic assemblies
  • Some experience testing electro-mechanical systems including pneumatics
  • Ability to work independently and on teams to achieve goals
  • Ability to learn new things and get up to speed quickly
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to run experiments and collect and analyze the data

Experience and Education:
  • Associate s degree in engineering technology or equivalent
  • 5+ years of industry experience preferred
