Job Summary

Provides advanced technical support to engineering and design teams by performing complex tasks involving installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, calibration, testing, fabrication, and operation of electronic and mechanical systems. Supports mission-critical operations by ensuring systems meet engineering specifications and operational requirements.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Installs, monitors, maintains, and services electronic/mechanical systems at operational sites
• Performs troubleshooting, repair, calibration, and testing of equipment and systems
• Assists with test, evaluation, checkout, validation, and certification of systems
• Reviews engineering change proposals and implements engineering change instructions
• Develops technical documentation including maintenance procedures, manuals, and system updates
• Supports systems engineering activities and provides subject matter expertise
• Maintains databases, logs, and records for tracking equipment, inventory, and project status
• Provides technical evaluation of components and systems based on engineering specifications
• Assists in system installation, fabrication, and field support activities
• Supports real-time mission operations, monitors systems, and resolves issues as they arise
• Works with RF systems, telemetry systems, communication networks (LAN/WAN), and data transmission
• Uses diagnostic tools such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and test equipment
• Performs preventive maintenance following technical manuals and procedures
• Serves as a senior technician and provides training and guidance to junior staff

Minimum Requirements

• Technical training (vocational/military/associate level) in electronics, engineering, or related field
• 7+ years of relevant technical experience
• Strong knowledge of electronic, RF, telemetry, and communication systems
• Experience with networking (LAN/WAN), cabling (fiber/coax), and system integration
• Ability to read and interpret engineering documentation and schematics
• Experience with troubleshooting complex systems and working in mission environments
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and technical systems/databases
• Ability to obtain and maintain DoD security clearance
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
