Job Description:
We are seeking a hands-on Engineering Technician to support the deployment, maintenance, and logistics of test equipment in engineering lab environments. This role is critical to ensuring equipment is installed, operational, and readily available to support engineering teams and project timelines.
This position is evolving with AI-enabled tools to improve equipment reliability, optimize calibration, and reduce downtime. You will directly enable engineering productivity by ensuring test equipment is reliable, accessible, and optimized—while helping transition engineering technical operations from reactive support to data-driven, predictive performance.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
• Sets up and maintains benches, testers, and other equipment. Transports, installs, upgrades, and configures equipment and components.
• Performs measurements, documents test results and KPIs, and maintains malfunction records.
• Troubleshoots and performs repair work, rework, removal, and adjustments to equipment as necessary with individuals inside own team and with other teams.
• Sets up test equipment using hand tools or automatic test methods to perform tests of circuits, components, instruments, and mechanical assemblies.
• Executes manual and automated test plans and provides some input on test cases and test procedures; reproduces and debugs issues.
• Tracks the purchasing, shipping/transporting, receiving, and usage of inventory and equipment for test labs, field engineering, and business unit projects.
