Client: Heavy Machine Manufacturing Company
Location: Coal Valley, IL 61240

Duration: 2 Years (Possible Extension)
Shift: 1st Shift

Job Summary

Perform instrumented testing using established procedures to verify machine and component performance against product specifications. Support product verification and validation activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and perform field and laboratory tests.
• Install fixtures, instrumentation, and test components.
• Execute tests using computer-controlled and mechanical systems.
• Develop programs for data acquisition.
• Collect and record digital and analog test data.
• Compile test reports and communicate results to engineering teams.
• Collaborate with engineers and technicians on test progress and issues.
• Coordinate with experimental shop and field testing teams.
• Provide work direction to test operators.
• Perform test teardown, cleanup, and equipment reset.
• Troubleshoot testing issues and support product development.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Experience with power tools and metalworking equipment.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good verbal and written communication.
• Ability to work independently with general guidance.
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's degree in a related field or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Knowledge of refrigeration systems and components.
• Basic understanding of heat transfer.
• Basic understanding of electrical systems and PLC programming.

Work Environment: Hands-on testing role involving mechanical equipment, instrumentation, troubleshooting, and collaboration with engineering teams.
