Position Overview
Silvus Technologies (a Client Solutions company) is seeking Engineering Technicians – Electronics to support engineering, product validation, laboratory operations, troubleshooting, and new product introduction activities at its Los Angeles facility.
These are temp-to-hire opportunities with an initial assignment duration of 12 months, with the potential for extension or conversion based on performance and business needs.
This is a hands-on technical role supporting RF, digital, and electronic hardware development in a laboratory and engineering environment.
Assignment Details
· Location: 10990 Wilshire Blvd, Los Angeles, CA (100% onsite)
· Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
· Assignment Duration: 12 months to start
· Conversion Potential: Yes, based on performance and business needs
Key Responsibilities
Electronics Testing & Validation
· Execute functional, parametric, and performance testing on electronic and RF products
· Support environmental qualification testing including:
o Thermal cycling
o Humidity testing
o Shock testing
o Vibration testing
· Configure test setups and monitor equipment during testing activities
Troubleshooting & Hardware Support
· Assist engineers with component-level, board-level, and system-level troubleshooting
· Read and interpret:
o Electrical schematics
o PCB layouts
o Assembly drawings
o Mechanical drawings
o Bills of Materials (BOMs)
· Support failure analysis and root cause investigations
Laboratory Operations
· Perform precision soldering, rework, and component replacement
· Build test fixtures, cables, and wire harnesses
· Support prototype assembly and validation activities
· Maintain ESD-compliant laboratory practices
Documentation & Reporting
· Record and organize test results
· Prepare technical reports and failure analysis documentation
· Maintain engineering records and laboratory logs
· Assist with creation of SOPs and work instructions
Manufacturing & NPI Support
· Partner with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to support New Product Introduction (NPI)
· Validate assemblies and test configurations before transfer to manufacturing
· Support production readiness activities
Required Qualifications
Education & Experience
One of the following:
· High School Diploma/GED with 5+ years of electronics, hardware, or RF support experience; OR
· Associate Degree in Electronics Engineering Technology or related technical field with 3+ years of relevant experience; OR
· Equivalent military electronics training and hands-on hardware experience
Technical Requirements
· Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings
· Experience troubleshooting electronic assemblies and hardware systems
· Hands-on soldering and rework experience
· Experience using:
o Digital Multimeters
o Oscilloscopes
o Power Supplies
o Electronic Test Equipment
· Understanding of electronic components, PCB assemblies, wire harnesses, and mechanical assemblies
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Certification Requirements
· IPC Certification required
o IPC-A-610 and/or J-STD-001

Preferred Qualifications
· RF electronics experience
· Product validation or laboratory testing experience
· Experience in an R&D, engineering lab, aerospace, defense, or advanced manufacturing environment
· Familiarity with:
o Spectrum Analyzers
o Vector Network Analyzers (VNAs)
o Signal Generators
o Environmental testing
· Experience with Python, LabVIEW, or basic test automation
· Familiarity with IPC, JEDEC, MIL-STD, or related standards
Physical Requirements
Candidates must be able to:
· Lift up to 25 pounds
· Bend, reach, kneel, and squat
· Move throughout laboratory environments
· Work safely around electronic equipment and test stations
