Start/End Dates: 9/22/2026 - 3/21/2027 (6-month temporary opening) 
Location: Downtown Houston 
Pay Rate: $26.21 – 27.14/hr., DOE
Interview: 1 round interview via MS Teams with the manager
 

Summary: Provides location data for company facilities to internal and external construction and maintenance personnel. Distribute, monitor, track and archive external construction project plans. Supports Engineering design processes that meet construction and installation requirements.   
Job Responsibilities:
 
  • Monitor and administer access to Engineering Support SharePoint sites.
  • Perform basic maintenance and editing of existing Gas Engineering SharePoint sites as needed.
  • Create gas and electric facility map packets for private and public projects using ESRI ArcMap and/or ESRI ArcGIS Pro software, and provide finished products to government Public Works departments, engineering consultants, and other third-party customers.
  • Receive and distribute project notifications for public improvement projects to the appropriate company manager/designer.
  • Create notification numbers in SAP for Gas Engineering projects.
  • Distribute, monitor, track, and archive external construction project plans.
  • Apply for ROW permits from state and local government entities (cities, counties, rail, and flood control) for gas engineering, construction, and maintenance projects then follow up on requested permits until approved.
  • Submit 48 hr notification of CNPs intent to start construction projects to state DOTs and other entities as required.
  • Digitally sign clients plan sets when required by local government entities.
  • Coordinate pipeline easement encroachments for gas engineering projects. 
  • Facilitate the coordination of gas supply company pipeline shutdowns between Gas Supply, with Gas Engineering staff, supply company staff, and Gas Control
  • Prepare and send construction documentation packages with required construction drawings, SAP work orders, environmental reports, budget approvals, etc. to all concerned parties.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office suite, SAP, and ESRI ArcGIS and Arc Pro software in support of Gas Engineering.
  • Perform additional duties as directed in support of Gas Engineering/Operations.
Skills:
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • Team player and detail oriented.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications and office equipment.
Education/Experience:
  • Requires a High School diploma or GED
  • No experience required
