    Description

    Position Summary:
    The Engineering Technician supports manufacturing and engineering operations by maintaining accurate engineering data, developing and updating technical documentation, and assisting with process improvements. This role is responsible for creating and maintaining Bills of Material (BOMs), routings, engineering drawings, and quality documentation while ensuring alignment between engineering records and production requirements. Working closely with Engineering and Production teams, the Engineering Technician helps drive efficiency, data integrity, and continuous improvement initiatives to support safe, high-quality, and cost-effective manufacturing operations.

     

    Responsibilities:

    • Conduct studies and collect production data to support process improvements.
    • Create and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and process documentation.
    • Creation and maintenance of Bills of Material (BOMs) and Routings
    • Supporting Engineering data integrity through alignment of BOMs with engineering drawings
    • Process engineering changes by updating BOMs, routings and prints/models
    • Create models / drawings using Autodesk Fusion
    • Create Quality Assurance check sheets to aid in production on the shop floor
    • Maximizing departmental and overall company efficiency by effectively supporting Engineering activities
    • Other duties as assigned

     

    Qualifications:

    • Associate degree in technical discipline preferred.
    • 2-5 years of experience in manufacturing, engineering support, or related role
    • Experience working with Bills of Material (BOMs), routings, or similar structured data systems
    • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
    • Experience with 3D CAD software, preferably Autodesk Fusion.
    • Attention to detail
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
    • Knowledge of manufacturing processes (CNC turning, metal fabrication, welding, assembly, etc.) preferred
    • Strong mechanical aptitude
    • Experience participating in or supporting Continuous Improvement initiatives preferred
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-variability environment

    Working Conditions:

    • Fast-paced manufacturing environment.
    • Requires standing, walking, and lifting for extended periods.
    • May involve exposure to noise and varying temperatures.
    • Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.

     

    Attendance Requirements: Attendance on a regular, consistent basis is mandatory.

    Pay Rate: $25/hr - $28/hr
