    Test Engineering Technician who will support the manual and automated testing of space hardware. Testing may be performed at the circuit card, assembly, sub-system and/or space vehicle level. Experience handling sensitive hardware, very strong computer skills and the ability to strictly adhere to documented procedures is a must. Prior experience with RF, optical and/or digital technology is a must.

    Schedule:
    1st shift on 980-Reg (6am to 3:30pm)

    Essential Functions:
    " Transport test equipment, fixtures, and cables to required testing locations.
    " Setup tests per written documentation and engineering direction.
    " Verify all test equipment is in calibration.
    " Verify all licensed test software is not expired.
    " Assemble custom or COTS equipment/fixtures.
    " Performs test and records required information.
    " Document failures and reports any anomalies to key stakeholders.
    " Executing automated software using LabVIEW and/or TestStand GUIs.
    " Troubleshooting failed assemblies with engineering oversight.
    " Operate RF, optical and/or digital test equipment including network analyzers, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, noise figure analyzers, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, OTDRs, OBRs, lasers, SOAs, BERT, DMMs and power supplies.

    Qualifications:
    " Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
    " Active Secret Clearance required

    Preferred Additional Skills:
    " Excellent communication, technical writing and presentation skills.
    " Experience handling very sensitive and fragile hardware, including mating and de-mating high density connectors, RF and optical connections.
    " Experience with qualification testing, including vibration, thermal and thermal vacuum testing.
    " Willing to work overtime as requested.
