The Science Team at Pride Health supports the Material Science organization and has an opening for Engineering Technician in Austin, TX
 
Position Summary:
Engineering Technician needed to lead or support the development of new products within the electrical products market. This role will support prototype product testing, laboratory operations, and maintenance while providing technical data to help guide decisions related to materials and product constructions.
 
Additional Details:
Contract Length: 12 Months with the possibility of extensions  
Pay range: $20 to $27 per hour
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate closely with scientists and engineers to conduct experiments, prototype testing, and laboratory evaluations.
  • Perform laboratory testing and accurately document observations, procedures, and results in technical notebooks.
  • Assist with data analysis, summarization, and preparation of technical reports.
  • Communicate test results and findings to scientists, engineers, and other appropriate team members.
  • Coordinate equipment calibrations to help ensure accurate and reliable test data.
  • Perform routine laboratory activities, including sample preparation, shipping, receiving, handling, and storage.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient laboratory environment.
  • Support multiple projects and adjust priorities based on changing project needs.
 
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a laboratory setting within a private, public, government, or military environment.
  • Associate's degree or two-year technical degree from an accredited institution, completed and verified prior to start.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately document technical information.
 
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution.
  • Experience working with adhesives and tapes.
  • Experience working on cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Self-starter with a positive, motivated, and adaptable work style.
  • Ability to work effectively in a changing environment with shifting project priorities.
 
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
