    Step into hands-on manufacturing work in Akron, NY where specialized equipment, furnace systems, and high-temperature production processes come to life on the shop floor. In this Engineering Technician opportunity, you’ll support fabrication, equipment assembly, troubleshooting, and production improvements—while building toward advanced capabilities in induction bending operations.

    Qualifications and responsibilities for this Engineering Technician position include:

    • 3–12 years of relevant experience in a mechanical, manufacturing, prototype, equipment building, or similar hands-on environment
    • Hands-on shop experience with mechanical work such as fabrication, assembly, modification, repair, and troubleshooting
    • Metal fabrication experience including cutting, grinding, forming, welding (preferred), and modifying metal components
    • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings/blueprints, including dimensions and tolerances
    • Precision measurement skills using tools such as calipers and micrometers, plus radius gauges and tape measures
    • Mechanical assembly and spatial reasoning to understand how components fit together
    • Willingness and aptitude to learn and eventually set up/operate specialized manufacturing equipment, including induction bending
    • Comfort working in an industrial environment with noise, dust, heat, industrial chemicals, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds

    Salary: $30–$40/hour

    Benefits: Eligibility to contribute to the 401(k) begins on the first of the month following hire (participation is optional, and there is no traditional 401(k) match); the company also offers a profit-sharing Non-Elective Contribution (NEC) plan with eligibility after 12 months of employment and at least 1,000 hours, and contributions vest over 1–5 years.
