Description

PGS Worldwide is seeking an Electronics Repair Technician in Warner Robins, GA for an approximately eight-month onsite contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This position will repair, assemble, modify, and maintain complex electronic equipment and Electronic Warfare systems. The technician will perform circuit board, wiring harness, cable assembly, and replaceable-unit repairs while working from technical drawings, schematics, and detailed work instructions.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • J-Standard certification.
  • Ability to obtain all required soldering certifications and complete associated training requirements.
  • Ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Experience using general-purpose test and measurement equipment and tools.
  • Ability to perform electronic and mechanical assembly, repair, modification, and rework.
  • Ability to identify the tools, supplies, and resources required to maintain a serviceable work area.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance if required.

Preferred Skills

  • 2+ years of experience fabricating, repairing, or modifying complex electronic assemblies, circuit cards, wiring harnesses, or shop/line replaceable units.
  • Experience working from controlled drawings and work instructions.
  • Experience assembling and repairing military-grade pins and connectors using associated tooling.
  • Ability to assemble and disassemble electronic equipment using detailed drawings, work instructions, or Technical Orders.

What You’ll Do

  • Repair, modify, and fabricate cable assemblies, wiring harnesses, and complex electronic assemblies.
  • Perform component replacement and printed circuit board repairs.
  • Repair, modify, and fabricate shop and line replaceable units.
  • Assemble electronic and mechanical modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, wires, cables, and subassemblies.
  • Work from diagrams, drawings, schematics, and technical instructions to complete assembly and repair operations.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, jigs, and test and measurement equipment.
  • Perform continuity checks on work in process and completed assemblies.
  • Disassemble, modify, rework, and reassemble prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications.
  • Support inspection activities in accordance with applicable quality requirements.

Work Schedule / Shift

  • Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–12:30 AM.

Pay

  • $24.44 per hour
  • Service Contract Act position.
