    Prolim Government Technologies is hiring for a federal client, Northrop Grumman, for an Engineering Technician 2 position supporting spacecraft assembly, integration, testing, and launch activities in Redondo Beach, California.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Support the assembly and integration of spacecraft mechanical and electro-mechanical components.

    • Assist engineers with development, fabrication, assembly, and testing of components and systems.

    • Set up and test prototype and flight units and subassemblies.

    • Support spacecraft production, integration, and test activities.

    • Use a variety of hand tools and mechanical equipment.

    • Read and follow engineering drawings, process specifications, and work instructions.

    • Perform mechanical assembly with a strong attention to detail.

    • Support subsystem and system-level test activities.

    • Maintain accurate work-order and production documentation.

    Required Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent.

    • 2 years of additional education and/or related experience.

    • Hands-on experience using hand tools and mechanical equipment.

    • Technical knowledge of manufacturing operations and mechanical assembly.

    • Ability to work extended hours or different shifts as required.

    • U.S. citizenship required.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience with aerospace or spacecraft manufacturing.

    • Experience working in cleanroom environments.

    • Experience reading engineering drawings and specifications.

    • Experience using precision measuring instruments.

    • Experience with electro-mechanical assembly.

    • Experience with fastener torqueing, harness routing, or connector installation.

    • Familiarity with spacecraft production and test methodologies.

    • Basic Microsoft Office skills.
