Join our team as a Contract Technical Writer supporting the CST Technical Communication team in Lafayette, CO. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you will author and revise Instructions for Use (IFUs) and eIFU content in structured XML (DITA-like). You will manage content through the Client and quality system publishing pipeline, perform IFU change effect analysis, support translation/localization review workflows, and coordinate with cross-functional partners (R&D, Regulatory, Quality, and software packaging/testing) to deliver documentation on project timelines. This position supports active medical device delivery and release work under regulatory oversight.
Must Have

• Ability to manage structured content (such as HTML, XML)
• Adobe FrameMaker or other professional publishing tools
• Structured FrameMaker

Nice to Have

• Adobe Illustrator
• Adobe InDesign
• Adobe Photoshop
• Experience in a medical device or other regulated industry
• Vasont Content Management System

Work Schedule
This is a full-time position with a hybrid work schedule, requiring 3-4 days per week onsite in Lafayette, CO.
Responsibilities

• Create, develop, plan, write, and edit operational, instructional, maintenance, or test procedures for various platforms.
• Conduct interviews with users and technical staff to gather data for documentation.
• Research and translate technical information into manuals and/or web-based documents for both nontechnical and technical users.
• Document engineering processes and specifications.
• Recommend formats responsive to technical and customer requirements.
• Produce products that conform to company documentation and quality assurance standards.

Additional Information
The role involves working independently with general supervision on larger, moderately complex projects/assignments. You will contribute to the completion of project milestones and may have some involvement in cross-functional assignments. The position requires practical knowledge and demonstrated competence within the job area, typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
