Your Role

Akkodis is seeking an Engineering Support Specialist for a Contract with a client in Phoenix, AZ. The ideal candidate will support engineering teams by managing and prioritizing 3D print requests, operating lab equipment, and delivering high-quality prototype parts on time.

Rate Range: $28/Hour to $30/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Engineering Support Specialist Responsibilities include:

• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot 3D printing equipment to ensure reliable and high-quality production of prototype and engineering parts.

• Convert CAD models and engineering drawings into physical components through print setup, material selection, and post-processing activities.

• Coordinate and prioritize multiple 3D print requests from engineering teams while meeting project deadlines and customer expectations.

• Perform routine equipment calibration and maintenance, ensuring maximum printer availability and optimal print performance.

• Manage inventory of printing materials, consumables, and spare parts, and support procurement and shipping activities as needed.

• Communicate effectively with engineering and design teams, providing project updates and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction throughout the printing process.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma required; Associate degree, technical certification, or vocational training in Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technology, Mechanical Design, Additive Manufacturing, or a related field preferred.

• 2+ years of experience operating and maintaining 3D printing equipment in a laboratory, manufacturing, or engineering environment.

• Experience working with CAD models, engineering drawings, and additive manufacturing processes such as FDM and SLA, including post-processing techniques.

• Strong troubleshooting, organizational, communication, and customer service skills, with the ability to support multiple engineering projects and prioritize competing requests effectively.

Pay Details: $28.00 to $30.00 per hour
