Our client, an environmental consulting firm, is seeking an Environmental Engineering Project Manager to join their team in Orange, CA!
The ideal candidate will lead remediation, site assessment, and environmental compliance projects for industrial and commercial clients. This role requires strong technical expertise, regulatory knowledge, project management skills, and a business development mindset.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage Phase I & II site assessments, remediation projects, due diligence, and subsurface investigations.
  • Oversee project scope, schedules, budgets, deliverables, and client relationships on engineering design components such as:
    • Designing remediation systems
    • Stormwater Management systems
    • Groundwater treatment systems
    • Landfill engineering projects
    • Water/wastewater infrastructure
    • Engineering calculations and design reports
  • Prepare technical reports, remedial action plans, feasibility studies, and regulatory documentation.
  • Coordinate field activities, sampling programs, laboratory data interpretation, and corrective actions.
  • Work directly with agencies including DTSC, RWQCB, EPA, CUPAs, and other regulatory organizations.
  • Provide clients with environmental compliance and regulatory guidance.
  • Manage hazardous and non-hazardous waste programs.
  • Communicate project status, budgets, and schedules to clients and leadership.
  • Identify new business opportunities and expand existing client relationships.
  • Mentor junior staff and represent the company professionally with clients and regulators.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, or related field.
  • Must understand remediation system design (SVE, AS, ISCO, pump-and-treat), water/wastewater treatment systems, stormwater management, landfill engineering, groundwater treatment, and environmental infrastructure projects.
  • 3+ years of environmental engineering consulting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and remediation practices (CERCLA/Superfund, RCRA, Clean Water Act, NPDES, State environmental regulations, groundwater and remediation regulations).
  • Experience managing environmental engineering investigation and remediation projects.
  • Proven business development and client management skills.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and technical writing abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to multitask, travel as needed, and work independently.
  • Must pass background check and drug screening.

Salary: $80,000 - $125,000
