Job Title: Engineering Project Manager
Location: Columbus, OH (Hybrid)
Duration: 12+ Month Contract (Potential Extension)
Employment Type: W2 Only

Work Schedule: Hybrid – Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday onsite at Airside Office, 4580 Bridgeway Ave, Columbus, OH 43219. Schedule flexibility may be discussed based on candidate qualifications.

Travel: 30–40% within Ohio

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Project Manager to oversee gas transmission and distribution construction projects. This role is responsible for managing project planning, budgeting, scheduling, permitting, contractor coordination, construction oversight, and project closeout activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction project management, pipeline construction, and budget oversight.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction, Project Management, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience managing construction-related projects
  • 3+ years of experience working with pipeline construction contractors
  • 3+ years of experience managing project budgets
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Ability to travel 30–40% within the state of Ohio
Preferred Qualifications
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification
  • Knowledge of gas system design and operations, including gas flow, construction, contracts, and emergency response
  • Understanding of local, state, and federal operating and construction codes
  • Experience with construction scheduling software
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and project management tools
  • Working knowledge of operational support systems such as WMS
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage project scope, schedule, cost, and change management processes
  • Coordinate permitting, engineering services, material procurement, land agreements, and contractor activities
  • Support bid preparation and contractor selection processes
  • Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
  • Track project budgets, capital expenditures, and forecasted spending
  • Collaborate with project managers, project specialists, inspectors, and field operations teams
  • Provide project status updates and communicate progress to stakeholders
  • Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with applicable standards
  • Foster strong relationships with municipalities, regulatory agencies, and local authorities
  • Manage invoice approvals and project closeout activities
  • Support engineering, operations, and business teams with project cost estimates and planning
Additional Information
  • Manager is open to candidates willing to relocate to Ohio.
  • Initial assignment is expected to last one year with the possibility of extension.
