JOB TITLE: Engineering Project Coordinator
LOCATION:Torrance, CA
PAY RATE: $74.74/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

• Job Type: Contract (6 months with potential for extension)

Qualifying Questions:

Summary:

• Coordinates engineering projects and ensures company resources are utilized appropriately.

• Compiles project status reports and coordinates project schedules.

• Manages project meetings and identifies and resolves technical problems.

• Identifies and analyzes requirements and defines project scope, requirements, and deliverables.

• Coordinates project activities and ensures all project phases are documented appropriately.

• Uses Microsoft Project and Jira for project planning and tracking.

• Applies thermal management and heat transfer or heat exchanger engineering knowledge.

• Applies standard project engineering and program management concepts, practices, and procedures.

• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish project goals.

• Performs a variety of project engineering tasks with creativity and latitude.

Requirements:

• Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering or a related area.

• At least 4-6 years of experience in mechanical or aerospace engineering or a related area.

• Experience in project engineering and program management.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Project with demonstrated hands-on experience.

• Proficiency in Jira with demonstrated hands-on experience.

• Preferred: Thermal management and heat transfer or heat exchanger experience.

• Experience coordinating engineering projects and managing project schedules.

• Experience defining project scope, requirements, and deliverables.

• Experience compiling project status reports and resolving technical problems.
