Title: Engineering Program Manager
Locations: Onsite: Austin TX
Duration: 6 Months with Possible Extension.
Pay Range: $50-$58/Hour on W2/C2C (All inclusive)
Job Responsibility:
We are seeking a high-caliber, results-oriented Engineering Program Manager (EPM) to drive critical multi-functional technical initiatives from concept to delivery. In this role, the candidate will sit at the intersection of engineering, product, infrastructure, and operations—turning ambiguity into execution.
The candidate will be a relentless problem solver who doesn’t just track schedules, but understands the architecture, identifies dependencies and hidden risks early, and orchestrates cross-functional alignment across deeply technical teams.
Key Qualifications
Client Exp is preferred.
•Proven EPM / TPM Track Record: 6 to 8+ years of technical program management experience leading large-scale, complex software or infrastructure initiatives end-to-end.
•End-to-End Problem Solving: Exceptional analytical horsepower; ability to dissect deeply ambiguous, high-impact technical problems, map root causes, and drive actionable solution paths across disparate systems.
•Cross-Functional Orchestration: Demonstrated mastery in rallying cross-functional teams (Software Engineering, Architecture, QA, DevOps/SRE, Product, Security, and Leadership) toward unified milestones without formal authority.
•Technical Depth: Solid grasp of modern software development life cycles (SDLC), cloud/distributed systems, CI/CD, and release management—comfortable engaging in architectural discussions and challenging technical tradeoffs.
•Executive Communication: High emotional intelligence (EQ) with the ability to distill complex technical status, trade-offs, blockers, and timelines into crisp, data-backed summaries for executive stakeholders.
•Client Experience (Preferred): Prior experience working within Client or an Client-like matrixed environment—fluent in Client-style cross-functional engagement, operational rigor, and executive briefing norms.
Description & Responsibilities
•Drive Program Execution: Lead the end-to-end lifecycle for multi-tiered engineering initiatives—defining scope, critical path milestones, resource alignment, and deliverables across multiple engineering pods.
•Relentless Issue Resolution: Act as the primary escalation point for cross-team blockers. Triage complex operational and architectural challenges, drive rapid root-cause analyses, and implement durable solutions.
•Dependency & Risk Management: Proactively identify technical, schedule, and resource risks across interconnected programs; devise mitigation plans before risks turn into blocking issues.
•Cross-Functional Cohesion: Establish clear operating cadences, RACI frameworks, and communication channels across engineering, operations, security, and product partners.
•Executive Visibility & Metrics: Maintain single-source-of-truth program dashboards, risk registers, and milestone tracking. Provide transparent, high-signal reporting to engineering leaders and executive sponsors.
•Process Optimization: Continuously evaluate engineering workflows and operational handoffs, eliminating toil and optimizing the path from code freeze to production deployment.
