HDR is currently seeking an Engineering Principal for our rapidly-growing Colorado building engineering team. This is a key leadership role in our integrated Architecture/Engineering practice in Denver, Colorado. Our building engineering team is a full-service, multi-disciplinary organization including structural, site civil, mechanical, electrical, control systems engineers and specialty design services that is co-located with our Architecture studio to support a collaborative and fully-integrated design process.
You must be a conceptual and strategic thinker who can engage and challenge our architectural and engineering designers during the early stages of projects to inform the conceptual design. You will leverage our integrated practice and your own deep expertise to add value to our project delivery process and lead engineering teams to deliver well-coordinated, high-quality designs.
Your primary duties as an Engineering Principal include:
1) Play a significant role in business development efforts and growing HDR's market share in specific A/E markets using your expertise and professional network.
2) Provide senior-level project leadership in your engineering discipline and areas of market expertise.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering
15 years related experience
A minimum 7 years project management experience
Requires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered. Example: Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license.
MS Office and MS Project experience is required (Access experience would be plus)
Demonstrated leadership, business development and strategic planning skills
