Engineering Manager

Job Title: Engineering Manager
Location: Stoystown, PA
Type: Direct Hire
Work Model: Onsite
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Responsibilities

• Define short- and long-term engineering objectives, plans, and policies
• Develop a technical vision and a roadmap for carrying it out
• Provide direction, guidance, and approval for major initiatives and procedures
• Evaluate operating results against targets and drive corrective action where performance falls short
• Build technical budgets, allocate resources, and set project timelines
• Establish and maintain effective communication channels across the organization
• Assess emerging technologies and conduct competitive analyses
• Support production personnel as designs move into implementation
• Inspect finished products to confirm they meet design intent and work in practice
• Design, implement, and review engineering processes and procedures while controlling production costs and protecting product quality
• Lead design teams on assigned projects, managing their work to deliver on schedule, within budget, and to the required quality standard
• Train and mentor team members, including Drafters/Designers, and contribute to their development and performance reviews

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) from a four-year college or university
• 10+ years of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and line management experience
