Engineering Manager

JOB SUMMARY
The Engineering Manager works closely with the Director of Engineering to define and implement departmental strategies in support of the goals and objectives of the organization. The primary responsibility of the Engineering Manager is to direct engineering resources and coordinate their activities to achieve maximum efficiency and produce cost-effective, high quality products. 

The Engineering Manager serves as the Chief Engineer, while leading and managing the day-to-day engineering operations related to on-time processing of the Engineered-to-Order (ETO) sales orders, product maintenance &
enhancement, application of the ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code, and the achievement of assigned WI's.
- Manage welding/brazing activities including procedures, approvals and certifications.
- Review and Approve (sign-off) engineering documents.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
A minimum of a BS in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field.
A minimum of 10 years manufacturing experience involving design and development of heat exchangers and/or related HVAC systems and components preferred.
Must have at least 3 years managerial experience. 

JOB KNOWLEDGE. SKILLS. AND ABILITIES
Expert knowledge in the interpretation and application of ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code Sections Ill, Classes 1, 2, and 3 and Section VIII as related to Custom product design.
Proficiency in the design of mechanical components and equipment assemblies.
Strong knowledge in Strength of Materials
Experience in the use of MRP systems. 

General SolidWorks and EPDM knowledge.
Able to interact cooperatively and professionally at all levels of the organization.
Proficiency in the use of computers for general business logistics.
Strong organizational skills capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
