The Engineering Manager will provide hands-on manufacturing engineering leadership while partnering closely with Operations, Quality, Regulatory, and Customer teams. This individual will be responsible for executing engineering strategies that improve productivity, quality, and operational performance while ensuring compliance with industry regulations and quality standards.

A global leader in the medical device industry is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead manufacturing engineering initiatives within a highly regulated, precision manufacturing environment. This organization partners with leading healthcare companies to design, develop, and manufacture innovative medical technologies that improve patient outcomes worldwide.

Description

  • Lead manufacturing engineering activities supporting daily production operations.
  • Drive new product introductions, product transfers, and manufacturing ramp-up initiatives.
  • Identify and implement cost reduction and process improvement opportunities.
  • Oversee process and test method validations, including IQ, OQ, PQ, and PPQ activities.
  • Ensure compliance with quality systems, regulatory requirements, and applicable industry standards.
  • Lead cross-functional projects involving operations, quality, finance, supply chain, and commercial teams.
  • Utilize Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to eliminate waste, improve efficiency, and enhance process performance.
  • Apply structured problem-solving and statistical analysis techniques to resolve manufacturing challenges.
  • Review and approve engineering documentation, process specifications, procedures, technical reports, and change controls.
  • Interface with customers, suppliers, and external partners on technical and operational matters.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop engineering team members while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Support performance management, objective setting, and professional development initiatives within the engineering organization.

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • Prior experience leading engineering teams within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of process validation and regulated manufacturing practices.
  • Demonstrated success implementing Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong analytical and statistical problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive projects to completion.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience in medical device, life sciences, aerospace, precision machining, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments is highly preferred.

Job Offer

  • Salary: $150,000 - $175,000 plus bonus
