    Duties/Responsibilities
    •  Lead, coach, and set priorities for Product, Process, Test, and Programming Engineering; assign resources, review deliverables, and develop technical capability across the group.
    •  Serve as the overall customer interface for technical matters, including design reviews, manufacturability concerns, process changes, test strategy, technical risks, corrective actions, and production issues.
    •  Provide direct engineering support on the manufacturing floor for SMT, backend assembly, test, integration, and conformal coating; investigate defects and drive practical, documented solutions.
    •  Review customer designs and data packages for design for manufacturability (DFM), assembly, inspection, and test; communicate actionable recommendations before and during new product introduction.
    •  Own engineering readiness for new and transferred products, including process definition, work instructions, tooling and fixtures, programming, test coverage, and controlled release to production.
    •  Oversee FactoryLogix MES configuration and use, including process routes, digital work instructions, material and serial traceability, data integrity, user access, change control, and engineering support for shop floor adoption.
    •  Coordinate with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and program teams to resolve yield, throughput, reliability, and schedule issues; use production and test data to prioritize improvements.
    •  Establish and maintain engineering methods, documentation, and performance measures; support root cause analysis, corrective actions, and customer reviews or audits as needed.
     
    Skills/Experience/Education/Training Required
    •  Substantial engineering experience in electronics manufacturing services or a comparable high reliability electronics manufacturing environment, including hands-on SMT and backend assembly process work.
    •  Experience leading engineers or technical teams while remaining directly involved in process development, troubleshooting, and customer technical discussions.
    •  Working knowledge of PCB assembly, soldering, inspection, test, integration, and conformal coating processes and their manufacturing controls.
    •  Ability to review product designs and manufacturing documentation and identify DFM, assembly, and test risks.
    •  Experience using and supporting MES workflows, with the ability to own FactoryLogix configuration, data quality, and user practices.
    •  Strong written and verbal communication skills, sound technical judgment, and the ability to present issues and recommendations directly to customers.
    •  Direct FactoryLogix administration or implementation experience, including digital work instructions, traceability, and reporting.
    •  Experience with complex, high mix electronics programs and customer driven engineering changes.
    •  Familiarity with applicable IPC workmanship standards, test development, equipment or test programming, and structured corrective action methods.
