Job Summary: Provides technical and administrative leadership for a medium to larger team of engineering personnel.
Essential Functions:
Managing and leading a team of 7+ employees
Leads planning and tracking of engineering activities including risk assessment, budgetary performance, and program timing.
Identifies opportunities of improvements in engineering practices to obtain increased operational efficiencies.
Reviews and approves engineering records
Interviews and selects new personnel
Conducts performance reviews including individual employee development goals and disciplinary actions
Participates in development and ensures adherence to QMS Policy
Provides technical and administrative coaching and mentoring for engineering personnel
Required to work extra hours and travel to meet Customer needs
All other reasonable duties and responsibilities assigned as necessary by Supervisor
Process Owner for Engineering Product Design and Development
Competency Level 3 includes all advanced understanding of the processes and functions as they
relate to the position as determined by the leadership team and ensure department managers
and their direct reports are complying with system requirements for OSHA, IATF16949 and
ISO14001 compliance.
Knowledge of customer specific requirements

Required Education and Experience:
Good verbal and written communication skills
Good organizational, interpersonal and problem solving skills

BS or MS (preferred) in engineering or equivalent
10 years of related experience or equivalent
