Engineering Manager

The Engineering Manager will provide technical and people leadership across manufacturing engineering, product development, tooling design, and continuous improvement initiatives. Working cross-functionally with manufacturing, quality, sales, tooling, and customer-facing teams, this individual will be responsible for production processes, supporting new product development, implementing tooling and process improvements, and ensuring the successful manufacture of high-quality precision bearing products.

Lead manufacturing engineering activities, tooling development, and new product introduction from concept through production.
Develop and implement process improvements that enhance productivity, reduce costs, improve quality, and minimise scrap.
Partner with Manufacturing, Quality, Tool Room, and Sales teams to resolve technical challenges and support customer requirements.
Manage and develop a high-performing engineering team through coaching, mentoring, and resource planning.
Lead engineering projects, continuous improvement initiatives, and capital investments while ensuring on-time and on-budget execution.

The ideal candidate is an experienced manufacturing engineering leader with a strong background in precision manufacturing, mechanical engineering, and industrial production environments. They will possess a blend of technical expertise and leadership capability, with a proven track record of improving manufacturing performance, developing engineering teams, and implementing process and tooling improvements that drive quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
Strong technical expertise in bearing design, metal stamping, progressive die tooling, machining, assembly processes, and manufacturing engineering principles.
Proven ability to lead engineering teams, manage projects, and drive continuous improvement initiatives within a manufacturing environment.
Experience working within ISO-certified manufacturing operations, supporting quality systems, process validation, and corrective action activities.
Proficiency with engineering and design tools such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, GD&T, and manufacturing process development, combined with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
