The Engineering Manager is responsible for leading engineering operations, project execution, and technical strategy across a diverse portfolio of process engineering projects. This role oversees engineering teams, ensures successful project delivery, develops organizational capabilities, and drives continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining strong customer relationships and operational performance.

Description

  • Lead and develop a team of Engineer/Project Managers.
  • Oversee engineering strategy, technical execution, and project delivery.
  • Ensure designs meet customer, operational, and performance requirements.
  • Monitor project milestones, schedules, budgets, quality, and resource utilization.
  • Facilitate communication between engineering teams, customers, and internal departments.
  • Drive organizational initiatives focused on operational excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Develop departmental KPIs and report on team performance and operational effectiveness.
  • Build, mentor, and retain a high-performing engineering organization.
  • Support workforce planning, succession planning, and employee development.
  • Resolve technical, operational, and customer-related challenges.
  • Analyze operational data and implement improvements that reduce risk and increase efficiency.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration to achieve business and project objectives.
  • Ensure successful delivery of projects ranging from system modifications to large capital installations.

Profile

A successful Engineering Manager should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or related technical discipline.
  • 10+ years of management experience within a process engineering environment.
  • Experience designing sanitary fluid process systems.
  • Strong engineering and analytical problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proven ability to turn data into actionable improvement plans.
  • Strong project management experience covering scope, schedule, cost, and quality.
  • Experience working within cGMP-regulated environments.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and team development skills.
  • Ability to build consensus among diverse stakeholders.
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Highly adaptable and willing to take ownership beyond core responsibilities.
