POSITION: Engineering Manager
REPORTS TO: Managing Director
FLSA STATUS: Exempt
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF JOB AND CONTRIBUTION TO ORGANIZATION:
The Engineering Manager oversees the development and execution of projects, manages budgets, and supervises multiple teams. They collaborate with other management personnel, provide instructions to engineering teams, and ensure the successful completion of projects on time and within budget. They also conduct research and development for new designs, products, and processes, while maintaining technical accuracy and coordinating work with other managers and staff.
ESSENTIAL TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Designs, implements and refines product development, testing, and manufacturing processes.
- Manages staff and assigns tasks to engineering and technical personnel.
- Leads teams in the development of new products, solutions, and processes.
- Oversees project logistics and resource allocation.
- Strives to improve efficiency and sustainability of processes and product designs, and to reduce waste.
- Secures the resources needed for teams to excel, including researching and proposing capital investments.
- Helps to create and oversee project budgets and engages in cost management strategies.
- Attends trade shows and conferences, and makes site visits to suppliers facilities.
- Advocates on behalf of team members by securing adequate resources for success.
- Communicates technical information to non-technical stakeholders, including investors and potential customers.
- Maintains high level expertise in their field or sector.
- Assures that processes meet quality and safety compliance guidelines.
- Collaborates with other team leaders and departments.
- Set specific to brad direction for multiple teams of engineers and technical staff.
- Oversee ECM process to ensure engineering changes are completed and communication to all affected parties
- Support SAP implementation for all product lines
- Crate detailed engineering plans, processes and procedures for engineering staff to use and abide for
- Support assembly processes by providing jigs and fixtures necessary to build conveyors, MCP and Sorters.
- Propose and oversee budgets and timelines for engineering projects
- Check and confirm the accuracy of the work performed and the methods used by engineering staff.
- Conduct various tests and quality assurance checks to verify the quality of completed projects
- Collaborate with the Centers of Excellence to ensure all information is understood and communicated
- Facilitates communication among clients/customers and engineers, ensuring specifications, budgets and deadlines are clearly communicated and understood.
- Maintains knowledge of new trends, developments, technologies, materials and best practices; applies this knowledge to continually improve product lines and production efficiency.
- Forges and maintains relationships with suppliers and customers.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor degree in Engineering and or Master s degree in Engineering or MBA a plus.
- 6 years of experience in Project Management.
- 1-2 years management experience.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the functions of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, feel, or handle; the employee must regularly reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand and sit. The employee is occasionally required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk and hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to ten pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, risk of electrical shock, and/or vibration. The noise level in this environment is usually moderate.
