Engineering Manager

Overview
KORE1, a nationwide provider of staffing and recruiting solutions, is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager 

The Engineering Manager will provide hands-on leadership for the site's Manufacturing Engineering function, directly managing a team of approximately four Manufacturing Engineers. This individual will help lead manufacturing optimization, continuous improvement, New Product Introduction (NPI), engineering effectiveness, employee development, and on-time execution.

The ideal candidate combines strong people leadership with practical manufacturing engineering knowledge and is comfortable working closely with operations and the shop floor. Experience within aerospace, power generation, precision machining, or another technically complex manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.

This is a fully onsite leadership position requiring someone who can establish priorities, develop engineers, improve manufacturing processes, and help introduce new technologies and more efficient engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and directly manage a team of approximately four Manufacturing Engineers.
  Establish engineering priorities, assign work, set deadlines, and ensure projects are completed in support of production and business requirements.
• Lead manufacturing optimization and continuous-improvement initiatives focused on cost, quality, efficiency, and on-time delivery.
• Support and help direct New Product Introduction (NPI) activities from an engineering and manufacturing perspective.
• Evaluate manufacturing methods and identify opportunities to improve tooling, programming, fixturing, processes, cycle times, and overall efficiency.
• Provide technical and operational leadership to the Manufacturing Engineering team.
• Develop the technical capabilities of engineering staff through coaching, mentoring, feedback, and training.
• Establish accountability for individual and team performance while promoting a collaborative and productive work environment.
• Ensure engineering activities comply with applicable EHS and Quality Management System (QMS) requirements.
• Support the creation and revision of engineering procedures and ensure team members are appropriately trained on new or updated processes.
• Promote continuous improvement and encourage engineers to identify and implement opportunities that positively impact business performance.
• Support engineering estimates, lead-time evaluations, and technical input associated with customer RFQs.
• Assist with interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and development of engineering personnel.
• Evaluate new manufacturing technologies, software, equipment, and engineering methodologies.
• Collaborate closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Programming, Tooling, Operations, and other internal functions.
• Provide engineering support to other company locations when necessary.
• Support troubleshooting of manufacturing or engineering issues, including occasional issues that may arise outside normal business hours.
