Description

A growing manufacturing company is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead mechanical engineering and product development for HVAC, refrigeration, liquid transfer, and portable equipment. This is a hands-on leadership role combining team management with mechanical design, product development, testing, and manufacturing support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the engineering team while managing priorities and project timelines.
  • Oversee the design, development, testing, and improvement of HVAC, refrigeration, pump, piping, and mobile equipment.
  • Utilize SolidWorks 3D to develop designs, drawings, and engineering documentation.
  • Manage projects from concept through design, testing, and manufacturing release.
  • Develop and execute design verification test plans, procedures, and reports.
  • Partner with manufacturing to troubleshoot design and production issues.
  • Drive VAVE, cost reduction, manufacturability, and product improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain product drawings, BOMs, specifications, and engineering documentation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 7+ years of mechanical engineering or product development experience.
  • Previous engineering leadership or management experience preferred.
  • Strong SolidWorks 3D experience.
  • Background with HVAC, refrigeration, pumps, piping, fluid systems, or industrial equipment preferred.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment with product testing and design verification.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
