Job Details

This is an opportunity for an experienced engineer who understands the entirety of the SDLC; architecture, application development, QA, and CI/CD. We're currently transitioning from a batch-based release cycle to an automated deployment model, and this individual will play a critical role in driving that transformation in our environment. The ideal candidate will be coming from a fast-paced software environment where they've taken significant ownership of production releases and delivery across various services.

What You’ll Do
  • Own software release coordination: Oversee release readiness, deployment schedules, QA dependencies, technical blockers, and go/no-go decisions across engineering teams.
  • Drive continuous deployment initiatives: Help transition the organization from scheduled batch releases toward automated, reliable, and repeatable production deployments.
  • Improve CI/CD processes: Help strengthen our automated testing, deployment pipelines, release safeguards, and feature flags
  • Remain hands-on with development: Contribute production code, participate in code reviews, and collaborate on architecture and technical design decisions.
  • Improve engineering delivery: Identify bottlenecks across development, QA, and production while creating more efficient and predictable release processes.
  • Increase release visibility: Establish clear communication and reporting around deployment readiness, engineering progress, release blockers, and production delivery.

What We’re Looking For
  • 8 + years of experience, most recently as a Staff, Lead, or Principal Software Engineer. Must have production experience with AI.
  • Demonstrated experience owning or playing a significant role in software release cycles within a production engineering environment.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD, automated testing, release management, and modern software delivery practices.
  • Experience working in an environment utilizing continuous delivery or continuous deployment, ideally with firsthand involvement in improving or implementing these processes.
  • Broad technical understanding of modern software architecture, backend services, APIs, and frontend applications.
  • Understanding of QA processes, automated testing strategies, deployment risk, and production reliability.
  • Experience collaborating across multiple engineering teams and navigating technical dependencies in complex software environments.
  • A genuine interest in remaining hands-on while growing into an engineering management position.
