Job Description:
Position s Contributions to Work Group:
- Analysis of aftertreatment capability and sizing trade-offs. Design of catalyst canning and diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) system components. This individual will be a point of contact for aftertreatment test instruction, project plan status, results, and next steps.
Typical Day or Week in the Role
Typical task breakdown:
- Review test cell and field data and ensure no issues with Aftertreatment or performance shift.
- Ensure all cell hardware is accounted for, current and future programs. Make sure they are tracked properly electronically to accumulate hours.
- Troubleshoot and fix aftertreatment related issues/codes in test cell, especially during install
- Print releasing, knowledge and working with CAD based program and print reading.
- Component design (aftertreatment canning, injectors DEF pumps)
- Working with a purchasing team for quotes and proto-type part procurement
- FMEA analysis and validation planning and testing
Interaction with team:
- The individual will be responsible for communicating results and issues to team members, suppliers and engine system development process partners.
Work environment:
- Mainly office, some lab
Candidate Requirements
Education & Experience Required:
- Years of experience: 2-5 years
- Degree requirement: Bachelor s degree in an accredited Engineering, Material Science, Chemistry or related curriculum
