Job Details

We’re seeking an Engineering Design Systems Manager/Administrator to own and improve our engineering design technology environment, including Autodesk applications, Bluebeam, and future PLM integrations.

What You’ll Do
  • Administer and support AutoCAD, Inventor, Bluebeam, and related engineering applications, troubleshooting software, modeling, and workflow issues.
  • Establish and maintain CAD standards, templates, drawing libraries, standard assemblies, naming conventions, and revision practices.
  • Partner with IT on software deployment, upgrades, access, backups, and system reliability; coordinate licensing with IT and Procurement.
  • Develop and implement automation that reduces repetitive design work and improves drawing accuracy and turnaround time.
  • Support CAD integration with PLM/PDM, NetSuite, and controlled product documentation workflows.
  • Improve drawing quality through standards checks, review processes, and feedback from engineering, manufacturing, and field teams.
  • Train users, document best practices, and support adoption of new tools and workflows.
  • Provide advanced modeling and design support as needed, with routine production drafting as a secondary responsibility.

What You’ll Bring
  • 7+ years of experience in CAD administration, design technology, engineering systems, or related technical roles.
  • Advanced AutoCAD proficiency and hands-on experience administering Autodesk environments, including Inventor.
  • Experience supporting users and managing standards, templates, libraries, software configurations, and technical documentation.
  • Working knowledge of engineering document control, revisions, BOMs, and product data.
  • Experience with CAD/PDM integration into PLM, ERP, or related engineering systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex issues, lead process improvements, and work independently across technical teams.
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in a related technical field, or equivalent advanced training and relevant experience.

Preferred Experience
  • Bluebeam, AutoCAD Electrical, AutoCAD MEP, and NetSuite.
  • CAD automation, scripting, software migrations, and platform evaluations.
  • Industrial equipment, instrumentation, electrical enclosures, engineered-to-order manufacturing, or renewable energy.
  • Design practices that support manufacturability, installation, and field service.
