JOB DESCRIPTION

1. This is primarily Data migration from an excel version to the corresponding 3D model of that picture.
2. Candidates only need to navigate and review the 3D models within the application (e.g., rotating, zooming, panning, selecting specific components, and cross-referencing fields). They will not be editing 3D meshes, modifying CAD geometries, or creating new models. It is basic operation and no prior experience is needed. They can be trained on it within an hour on how to use the software to do the job.
3. Having manufacturing knowledge and engineering documentation is preferred but not required. During the initial training of the software on how to utilize the CAD software, basic features and information will be provided that they can use to enter and migrate the data.

• Spatial awareness/visual inspection - Mentally translate a static 2D image into a 3D model to confirm the correct part and shim location.
• Attention to detail - No data entry errors between the two systems. Flag errors seen and seek help.
• Software navigation aptitude - Comfortably operate the 3D basic software (rotate, zoom, pan, click) and also be able to use excel spreadsheet

• Assist in transitioning our tooling and fixture data from traditional 2D Excel shim logs into Rivian's dynamic, 3D modeling app. In this role, you will analyze 2D fixture images and Excel shim logs, cross-reference them with 3D digital twin models, and input the details into the new application.

• Analyze 2D Data: Review 2D Excel spreadsheets and embedded fixture images to locate target shim log records and specifications.
• Verify against 3D Models: Navigate our 3D model app, locate the corresponding 3D fixture unit, and compare the 2D visual/data points against the 3D representation to ensure accuracy.
• Data Input & Integration: Accurately record, verify, and enter all fixture and shim log details directly into the 3D application interface.
• Discrepancy Reporting: Flag and document any inconsistencies between the legacy 2D spreadsheet logs and the 3D models for quality engineering review.
