Description
You will be the Additive Manufacturing Operations Technician for the Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) Additive Manufacturing team. Our team is responsible for supporting daily additive manufacturing operations within the AMPLFI Center, enabling research, development, and production-focused manufacturing activities across a growing set of applications.
In this entry-level role, you will support machine operations and post-processing activities that help move additive builds efficiently through the manufacturing workflow. This position is ideal for a motivated, hands-on individual with experience in fabrication, machining, assembly, or related shop environments.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Additive Manufacturing Operations Technician, you will support day-to-day additive manufacturing operations, including machine support, part handling, post-processing, inspection support, and material flow through the AMPLFI Center.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Additive Manufacturing Operations
Build Processing & Post-Processing
Perform depowdering of printed builds using approved procedures and equipment.
Support movement of parts through required post-processing steps, including:
heat treatment furnace operations
HIP furnace processing
EDM support
build plate resurfacing
blue light scanning
packaging and shipping
Handle parts and materials carefully to ensure product quality and safe processing.
